![]() ![]() ![]() His part just doesn't flow very well throughout the game in my opinion. So its a very bumpy progression with long waits involving nothing then massively quick bursts all at once followed by more nothingness. Every other character has their own story that progresses parallel to the main story. But I really feel that how he ties into the story wasn't ideal. his personality makes him enjoyable as he is very different from your average character. Things he should have known as a character but doesn't because you as the player don't know those things and just spontaneously knowing them would be awkward. You don't even progress anything with him until only a few parts in the game and I never felt that he acted as he should have. He has limitations on how much they could do with him because they didn't want to spoil anything too early, but it really makes him feel distant. I feel Fane's biggest problem is that he isn't connected enough to the story because he is too connected to the story. Not to mention her story really isn't organic, it follows the same path each time without any way to fork without losing the character entirely.Īs for Fane. Once you know her story, I feel it gets no better if even more tedious than anything. Lohse! Fane! Lohse was good too, but I feel the issue with her come in replayability. He never really wants to do anything particularly evil and can generally easily be persuaded to agree on a reasonable and civilised course of action. He has an agenda, but it's not really an evil agenda. In short, he's a good guy to have around, he is very civilized, he's an arrogant so-and-so but he's also self-depracating and considerate with his friends, he can be impatient, his "Prince" thing is tempered with intelligence and a lot of tongue-in-cheek and self-awareness, his Lizard culture does have a thing with slavery but you get the impression Red Prince treated his slaves pretty well. He comments on this whenever you get him to dig up a hidden chest or whatever. He actually carries himself with considerable dignity for his massively reduced circumstances.Īnd he's quite prepared to roll his sleaves up and get on with it. In addition Red Prince is actually what he says he is, he's the real deal, a genuine royal. and such.Īlso Lizard culture is very advanced, he has the right to be a bit sniffy about it. He says things like "Well, you dutiees as my personal slave will involve carrying my luggage etc, but I seem to freash out of luggage right now" and "I seem to be temporarily between empires at the moment". His conversation with you when you first meet him on the beach highlights this in my view. He can be a bit arrogant but he can also be self-depracating. The Quick Questions and Looking for Group Threads exist for a reason, use them.Red Prince is a complex character, he is not a "bad guy". ![]() >!This is spoilery!< to get This is spoilery Submissions should relate to Divinity Original Sin or other works of Larian Studios.ĭo not put spoilers in the title of your post and mark your posts. ![]() Join up with a friend to play online in co-op and make your own adventures with the powerful RPG toolkit.
